An Honest Economy
For Every Family in CA-2
Your groceries cost too much. Your rent is out of reach. Your credit card charges 30%. These are not natural disasters. They are policy choices — and they can be changed with the right legislation. These nine bills address every dimension of economic hardship facing CA-2 families.

Four Affordability Crises. One District.
Housing
Median home price in Marin: $1.5M. Teachers, nurses, and firefighters can't afford to live where they work. Marin City and The Canal in San Rafael were historically excluded from homeownership. That ends.
Consumer Debt
Credit cards charge 30–35% interest — legal loan-sharking. Americans are trapped in debt cycles that preclude savings, homeownership, and retirement. Congress set these rules. Congress can change them.
Education Costs
$1.7 trillion in student debt. Teachers and nurses who served their communities for a decade still can't pay off their loans. A generation is being priced out of the middle class before it starts.
Childcare & Family
Childcare in CA-2 can cost more than rent. $57 billion in annual GDP is lost because skilled parents — mostly mothers — are forced out of the workforce by the cost of childcare. This is a policy failure.
Nine Bills. Every Word Public.
These aren't talking points. They're fully drafted bills with constitutional authority statements, funding sources, and sunset clauses. Read them before you vote.
"The affordability crisis in CA-2 is not bad luck. It is the accumulated result of policy choices made by people who do not live here and do not need to. I wrote these nine bills before I asked for a single vote. Read them. That's what Show Your Work means."
